They quickly find their own lives in danger from collaborators within their own organisations, as well as the Nazi high command who wish to hide the true nature of what their submarines are carrying.
When the main suspect in the murder flees into Normandy, Lemele and Marner have no choice but to follow. But this is June 1944 and they are heading directly into the maelstrom of war that has expoded across northern France following D-Day.
